Videos are booming. A quick look at some stats on video-sharing platform YouTube says it all – the site is used by almost 75% of American adults. Among 18 – 24 year-olds this percentage is even 94%.
In recruitment, the use of video is becoming more and more common in various stages of the funnel. From job postings accompanied by – or even completely consisting of – a video to pre-employment assessment tools using video and, of course, video interviewing software.
The use of video in the recruitment process makes sense both from an employer as well as a candidate perspective. Candidates get a feel for the company, the job they’re applying for, and their future colleagues. On top of that, videos open up a new, global pool of talent for companies.
